New Sampler Elicits Success with Sensitive Material

CUSTOMER CHALLENGE:

The customer wanted to obtain a composite sample of a very soft and tacky rubber product without damaging the integrity of the material.

 

VENDOR SOLUTION:

After many trials and tests, Shamrock Systems concluded that Sentry Samplers effectively sampled the customer’s sensitive material by utilizing the Isolok SAK pneumatically operated plunger sampler. Manufactured out of solid 316 stainless steel, this sampler incorporates a pneumatically driven plunger with soft EPDM seals to gather a small but consistent 18cc volume of material per cycle without damage to the material or build-up of the sensitive powder.

 

CUSTOMERS COMMENTS:

This sampler has been installed for over 10 years of operation and only one set of replacement seals has needed to be purchased. Since the initial installation, the plant has installed several additional samplers above packaging equipment, as well as in various process sample ports.
